Online registration for the 6th Annual Turkey Trot 5k will close Wednesday, Nov. 21st — sign up to walk or run today!
The Franklin Park Coalition’s now-famous Turkey Trot started in 2013. Last November, we had another record-breaking year, with more than 1,400 runners participating. With runners and walkers coming primarily from the neighborhoods that border the park, including Roxbury, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, and Mattapan, the Turkey Trot is the largest Thanksgiving Day race in the City of Boston. One family who “trotted” in 2017 told us — and they are not alone — that they now have a new Thanksgiving tradition.
- All ages and paces welcome
- Strollers and race-ready leashed dogs are welcome
- Great prizes for fast finishers and costumes
- Event is chip timed
This year, we’re inviting all Turkey Trot runners, walkers, and volunteers to take part in our Parksgiving Fundraiser to help raise $5K to support the activities, advocacy, and restoration work performed year-round by the Franklin Park Coalition. Right now is a historic time of change for Franklin Park and the Coalition and we need your help to build out our programming capacity.
It’s easy to participate! Simply sign up and receive your unique fundraising link for Parksgiving and then use our handy fundraising tool-kit (complete with sample messaging and graphics) to spread the word via your social network, friends, and family. Thanksgiving is a time of generosity, share an opportunity to support a great cause!
