Survive, Strive, Thrive!

Part of a nationwide gun violence awareness effort taking place on Saturday, June 8, 2019, Wear Orange/Summer Jam  will engage our community to improve the health and well-being of all citizens with a family fun-filled day!

Wear Orange/Summer Jam is a collaborative effort driven by Lena Park Community Development Corporation in Dorchester, MA, and the Massachusetts Chapter of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.

This event offers artistic expression, empowering information, athletic competition and civic discussion with the goal of building connections and creating safer communities in Greater Boston.

The Wear Orange Summer Jam will include the following:

• Kid-friendly amusements

• Food & refreshments

• Second Annual Community Basketball Tournament (all ages, prizes awarded)

• No Fear Mic Drop: a performance competition of spoken word, lyrics, song

• Exhibits on violence prevention, mental health, community building, legislation agenda

• DJ, dance performances and tons of positive energy!

• Free for all! Simply wear orange and show up.
