The Franklin Park Coalition’s now-famous Turkey Trot started in 2013. Last November, we had another record-breaking year, with more than 1,400 runners participating. With runners and walkers coming primarily from the neighborhoods that border the park, including Roxbury, Dorchester, Jamaica Plain, and Mattapan, the Turkey Trot is the largest Thanksgiving Day race in the City of Boston. One family who “trotted” in 2017 told us — and they are not alone — that they now have a new Thanksgiving tradition.
We hope you’ll join the fun in 2018. It’s never too late to start training or dreaming up a costume (costumes are optional, but fun!). Be sure to sign up for our email list (sign up form at the bottom of every page) so you know when registration is open for the Turkey Trot.View Photo Gallery
