Calendar of Events

To submit park events to the calendar, contact and tell us: the date,
time, and location of your event; 2-4 sentences describing the event; and contact information to reach you or event organizers.

Winter Volunteer Day

Save trees in the park's woodlands by clearing catbrier, a prickly vine that wraps itself around saplings and pulls them down. Dress in heavy cotton or wool - small thorns may wrip nylon parkas. We'll have work gloves, but bring a thin underlayer or glove liners if your hands tend to get cold. There'll be plenty of hot chocolate and it's great to be outdoors - the work will warm us up! Meet at Valley Gates Parking Lot.

Snow Festival!

Come sled the hills of the golf course, try out a pair of snow shoes, or join a search for animal tracks in the snow. If you have your own cross country skis, there will be a park tour at 1:30 led by the Franklin Park ski club. Warm up with hot chocolate and board games indoors. All ages welcome! Meet at the Golf Clubhouse (and pray for lots of the white stuff).
